The Original House is a two storey, three bedroom wood and stone dwelling with a cedar shingle roof dwelling overlooking the lake and Rakaia River. The upstairs master bedroom has its own fireplace and balcony. An ensuite adjoins this master bedroom with a spa bath in the window and separate steam shower.
Also contained on the same level is a large dining room and commercial kitchen with fireplace that leads into a spacious lounge with another open fireplace and a small sunroom. Doors from the lounge flow onto a large wooden deck with BBQ area overlooking the lake.
The lower ground floor accessed by stairs from the main foyer has two large bedrooms and a small room with double bunk bed suitable for young children. All three downstairs bedrooms are serviced by two toilets and one bathroom with double hand basin and walk-in shower. There is also a laundry with washing machine and dryer.
A children’s play area has been purpose built at the rear of the house with firewood storage for guests stored at the main entry carpark.
